Field Recording: Carl Creek Nature Preserve
This field recording was done at a tiny park in Grand Rapids. There was a lot of running water which made for a lush soundscape. This time, I decided to take a video while I was recording. At the end there is a montage of cool photos I took on location. This recording was minimally processed, I used a multiband expander to try and emphasize the transients. Many field recordings, when boosted to full volume, tend to sound much more intense than they do in real life. Normally we might notice louder, transient sounds over the background noise.
